“My work explores sound, memory, and imagined landscapes.

In the after / time exhibit, I can hear these sounds just as closely as you can, I combine several discrete listening stations with original photography and text works to create an open, uncentered, and nonlinear narrative that the viewer (listener) can explore on their own accord. These listening stations present extended sound works, originating from a personal archive of field recordings, developed over several years to become unrecognizable mirages. Each listening station contains image and text cues as an entry point for the viewer (listener) to find their way in. Structure, form, and repetition provide parameters that hold immense spiritual fields.

These interwoven elements create space for personal contemplation, recognition, and resonance.I believe sound, image, and text working in tandem can unlock portals to otherwise unknown landscapes, third spaces that are both here and there, and intimate glimpses of the mysteries hiding within ourselves and others.

There is a story being told in this work, but its path of unfolding & the meaning it generates is up to the viewer (listener) and what they see (hear) among these sound-image-text mirages.”
